Filming session 10
In today's filming session we went out to record two short walking shots of myself using the Go Pro, during the process of filming this we had one major issue, this being that the sun made the colour drain out on one of the recordings due to the positioning, however we was able to address this issue by re-doing it and walking the opposite way from before, I held the Go Pro in this so the camera would be more tracking to me and stayed focus on me.

Filming Session 9
Today we re-filmed the opening sequence of Sophie and I. For the equipment we decided to use a Go Pro instead of the DLSR because this meant that we could then record in 120fps. This means that when it comes to the editing we can make it into slow motion so that it looks a lot slicker rather than if it had been shot in the standard 24fps.

Edting Process - Log 4
In the editing process for today, I worked on cutting the clips so that it would be simple to choose the order in which the music video cut from shot to shot. On top of this I had to work on syncing the music video up so that it looked in time and not in the wrong order, this was a long process which took a lot of time as the music track and my performance had to be within 0.1 seconds so that it looked right. This meant we had to go back on a lot of occasions to correct any mistakes we had made, on some occasions we had the music video lyrics being played too soon, and then other times it would be too late. Once this was fixed, the group and I worked on deciding what shot order would look best. This took up a significant amount of time because we needed a variety of shot angles and a variety of different locations. Also on some parts of the filming the actual camera movement had become slightly bumpy which meant that my self; the actor, would have some parts of his body out of the shot. However, this could not be helped due to the difficulty for the camera man who would have been tracking backwards. To fix this issue we managed to find the best parts for each clip and insert these into our Rock music video instead.

Filming Log 8
Because of issues from the first shooting of this scene in the music video we had to re-film this park scene, reasons for this were because in the original version we did not have Liam's tripod so a lot of the shots were hand held. In this second attempt at this scene we had also replaced Liam with Lee, this is because Liam had some issues with his leg and could not walk long distances so instead of waiting for him to recover which would of taken time we instead replaced him with another character. We also decided to cut out the scene of me and Sophie together, our key reason for this was because we needed to trim down the narrative so that we could focus more on the band and tell less story which was a big issue in the making of the music video.
When re-shooting this we used a wide variety of angles so that when it came to editing we could cut a lot faster and more on the beat which will look more professional and also fit conventions more of a rock video. In this scene we had Lee and myself meet which was to show part of the band getting together so that it would not look odd in the band shots were from being alone he was now with two other people. Lee and myself walk out of the park together were it then cuts straight to them being together in the band were they are playing their instruments.
